專有名詞的翻譯其實原則是人名、地名按音譯，如果有約定俗成的就按約定俗成的翻譯，如果沒有也可不譯；機構名稱可按意思翻譯，如果是縮寫可不翻譯，如果機構名是全稱則需翻譯出來，如：World Trade Organization 世界貿易組織。

關于比較結構的翻譯

more than 意為：“不僅僅是，非常，十分”等，用法和意義較

more …than 意為：“與其說…不如說，不是…而是”

no more than 強調少，意為“只有，不過，僅僅”

not more than 客觀敘述，意為“不超過”

no more … than 意為“A與B都不…；…不，…也不”

not more … than 表示程度上的差異

He is no more diligent than you.

He is not more diligent than you.

no less than = as much as 意為：“竟有…之多，多達”，強調多

not less than 意為“不少于，至少”，為客觀的描述

no less … than 前后均為肯定，意為：“正是，和…一樣, 多達，應有…之多”

His son has read no less than 50 English books.

His son has read not less than 50 English books.

The middle-aged man was no less a person than the new minister.

Her voice is no less sweet than it used to be.
